Small World of Warcraft: A New Twist on a Classic Board Game

If you’re a fan of World of Warcraft, then I highly suggest checking out Small World of Warcraft. Created by Days of Wonder, it’s a hybrid of Small World and the MMORPG World of Warcraft.

In Small World of Warcraft, players choose a combination of fantasy races and special powers to conquer and control territories across Azeroth. The game can be played by 2-5 players and typically takes around 40-80 minutes to complete.

The game has a rather large selection of options available, it has 16 different races to choose from. Each race has their own unique abilities and traits. You have races like the Night Elves and Blood Elves that focus on magic, the Dwarves and Gnomes on the other hand are more focused on technology.

You don’t only get to pick your race, though, you also get to select a special power to help give you an advantage during the game. For example, the Demon Hunter power allows players to ignore terrain penalties, while the Death Knight power allows players to conquer a region even if they don’t have enough units.

The nice thing is the game includes quite a few iconic locations from World of Warcraft, such as Orgrimmar, and the Dark Portal. Players can conquer these locations to earn additional victory points and gain control over valuable resources.

One of the unique features of Small World of Warcraft is the fact that players can only control a certain number of units at a time. Once a race has become too “small” for the player to control effectively, they must choose a new race and start again.

This mechanic keeps the game fresh and exciting, as players must constantly adapt to new challenges and opportunities. It also prevents any one player from dominating the game for too long, ensuring a level playing field for all participants.

Small World of Warcraft is a fantastic game for anyone that is a fan of Small World or World of Warcraft. The lore from World of Warcraft really help in creating a fun and engaging gaming experience.
